PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod capable of mounting a relatively large-sized reel even on a relatively narrow mounting part. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is so designed that a rear leg fixture 20 has a peripheral wall part 21 defining a rear leg fixing part S1 to be insertedly fitted with the rear leg 51 of a reel in combination with the outer circumferential surface of a reel mounting part 10 and a projection part 23 projected axially forward from the inner side of the peripheral wall part 21; wherein the projection part 23 is provided with a male screw 25, while the reel mounting part 10 is provided with a female screw 13 to be screwed with the male screw 25; owing to mutual screwing of the male screw 25 and the female screw 13, the rear leg fixture 20 is made movable back and forth through rotating or turning motion.
