PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively wash clothes in a small quantity of water by vibrating an impeller so that clothes are rolled over along a reverse troidal path in a washing vessel. SOLUTION: An impeller 116 is provided at the base of a washing basket 114, a central post 118 is extended upward from the center of the impeller 116, and the post 118 forms an upper spiral part 120 having one blade 122 for directing adjacent clothes upward. The spiral part 120 is instructed to operate in a single direction so that the clothes are directed upward by the blade 122. Thus, the spiral part 120 lifts up the clothes along the central post 118, thereby promoting reverse troidal roll over operation for clothes in the washing basket 114 to vibrate the impeller 116.
