<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance transfer efficiency and to diminish a residual toner by using a specified magnetic polymerized toner. SOLUTION: The magnetic polymerized toner is used for developing a latent image on a latent image support 20. When the volume average particle diameter, density and specific surface area of the magnetic polymerized toner are represented by (d),ρand S, respectively, the relation of 0.4<=6/(ρ.d.S) <=0.7 is satisfied and (d) is 5-12μm. Since the magnetic polymerized toner has a smooth surface and low mechanical adherence to the latent image support 20 and is uniform in particle size, the gap between a transfer sheet and the latent image support 20 is narrowed and an electric field for transfer is effectively applied. The latent image support (photosensitive drum) 20 is formed by coating the top of aluminum with a function separated organic photoreceptor in a prescribed thickness. A developing unit 23 supplies a charged toner to an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum 20 and makes the latent image visible. A toner cartridge is filled with the magnetic toner and exchangeably attached to the developing unit 23.</p> |
