PURPOSE: To reduce or eliminate generation of a shadow appearing in an image screen owing to a damper line for preventing a color selector from vibrating. CONSTITUTION: This cathode-ray tube is structured so that the electron beams eBL and eBR emitted from adjoining electron guns 41L and 41R overlap each other before they pass a plurality of apertures in a color selector 22 to generate a region in which both electron beams eBL and eBR pass each of the apertures, wherein a damper line 25 is provided in the region which is passed through by both electron beams eBL and eBR. Because a shadow generated by one electron beam eBL is irradiated with the other electron beam eBR, the shadow becomes thin.
