PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication efficiency while effectively utilizing a retry interval, which is conventionally useless dead time, by transmitting another FAX transmission request under transmission wait while making it interrupt even during that retry time while utilizing an error retry time interval set to a FAX transmission request interrupted when an error occurs. SOLUTION: When a connection error in the communication line or transmission error in the data transmission is detected, a transmission execution control part 9 interrupts a connection to a communication line. A CPU 1 sets the fixed retry time interval to the interrupted FAX transmission request and when there is the other FAX transmission request under transmission wait, the other FAX transmission request is made interrupt to start that FAX transmission. After the lapse of retry time set to the interrupted FAX transmission request, the CPU 1 restarts FAX transmission corresponding to the interrupted FAX transmission request.
