PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device measuring an actual wound length of a material, and verifying the measured wound length. SOLUTION: This wound length measuring device comprises a Doppler sensor 2, a laser length measuring part 3, a wound length measuring part 4, a winding shaft rotation detector 5, a winding machine 6, and a winding motor 7. The laser length measuring part 3 measures the length of a travel amount of a traveling material based on a Doppler signal, The wound length measuring part 4 obtains a wound length based on a rotation speed, a wound diameter and the like of the winding machine 6, compares it with the measured length of the travel amount, and provides the measured length as an accurate wound length if the measured length is within an error of the wound length.
