PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean a wide plane arranged with slit fins of a heat exchanger uniformly and efficiently while exhibiting high cleaning power for matters adhering thereto, floating thereabout and deposited thereon. SOLUTION: A plurality of multihole jet nozzles 33 are secured, at a specified interval, onto a cleaning liquid supply pipe 32 provided with a grip part 34 at the end thereof. Respective nozzles 33 jet cleaning liquid radially at a specified jet angle toward the plane of a heat exchanger arranged with slit fins wherein the jet angle and interval of the nozzles are selected such that the plane of a heat exchanger arranged with slit fins can be cleaned substantially simultaneously over the entire width. The plane of a heat exchanger arranged with slit fins is cleaned entirely by moving the nozzle unit horizontally while gripping the grip part.
