PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem attended with long time recording and reproduction of a video image caused when generation of a visual environment is aimed by generating a moving picture from the prescribed number of sample images over a consecutive time of a control signal. SOLUTION: Data such as flowers, insects, animals, and expressions of human faces are stored for a short time in a sample image recording medium 1. An image signal memory 2 temporarily records a series of sample images extracted from the sample image recording medium 1. A control signal generating section 3 extracts a sample image with a designated number from the image signal memory 2 and transfers the sample image to a buffer memory 4. Then the sample image (signal) sequentially extracted in this way is outputted to an image display section 5, where a pseudo moving picture is displayed. This, a long time image can be generated from the sample image consisting of a series of shot-time frame image by using the control signal. Furthermore, the generated moving picture corresponds to an external signal.
