PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily identify an optimal point in a design parameter space corresponding to a special use by generating a source table including sample points from the respective sample points satisfying one set of constraints on the basis of a plurality of target function values and sample points. SOLUTION: A step 48 for evaluating the target function values corresponding to respective sample points in the design parameter space follows a step 46 for filling the design parameter space. The result of the step 48 for evaluating the target function values corresponding to the respective sample points is constituted for display, storage or processing when executing a step 50 for generating a table. This table contains rows corresponding to respective sample points, columns corresponding to the values of respective sample points and the corresponding values of respective target functions in the filling step 46. This generated table called a source table becomes the base for generating an induction table in a step 54 for filtering the source table in order to generate the induction table having input being the suitable subset of input in the table to be induced.
