The invention relates to a selector device for the gearbox of a vehicle with an automatic gear system, comprising one shift lever (3) and a kinematic system (4-9) transmitting shift movements to an automatic gearbox. The shift lever (3) can be moved to an automatic shift path (AG) around a first shift axis (7) to select the automatic gear steps and to a sequential shift path (SG1, SG2) around a second shift axis (8) for manual upshifting and downshifting operations. A central support (6) rotating around the shift axis (9) and an inner bridge (4) rotationally fixed to said central support (6) are provided. Said inner bridge rotates around the first switch axis (7) which lies substantially perpendicular to the shift axis (9). There is also an outer bridge (5) fixed to the inner bridge (4) in the sequential shift path rotating around the second shift axle (8) and connected to the shift lever (3). The invention is characterised by the fact that means for selecting shift axis are directly or indirectly fixed to the central support (6) by a rotational movement of the selection lever (3).
