摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cemented carbide sintered compact excellent in wear resistance by dispersing ceramic hard dispersion particles through a sintered compact consisting of a W-type hard phase composed essentially of tungsten carbide (WC) and a binding phase of iron group metal and also regulating density and porosity to a value in a specific range and a specific percentage, respectively. SOLUTION: This sintered compact is a wear resistant cemented carbide sintered compact having (5.0 to 13.5) g/cm3 density and <=10% porosity. It is preferable that 11-73 vol.% WC-type hard phase, 9.5-23 vol.% binding phase of iron group metal, and 4-79.5 vol.% ceramic hard dispersion particles are contained based on 100 vol.% of the cemented carbide sintered compact. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the cemented carbide sintered compact is specified to (6.5 to 9.0) ppm/K to prevent the breakage of the ceramic hard dispersion particles occurring at the time of sliding. By specifying the average particle size of WC to <=5μm and also specifying the ratio of the average particle size of the ceramic hard dispersion particles to the average particle size of the WC to 0.1-10, the cemented carbide sintered compact excellent in workability and mechanical properties can be manufactured.
