TRANSPARENT PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET AND PRODUCTION OF PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet having a pressure- sensitive adhesive layer free from marks of entrained air and coating streaks by laminating a transparent (translucent) support with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer being a layer prepared by coating an emulsion pressure-sensitive adhesive without adding the returns of a coating fluid and a release sheet. SOLUTION: It is desirable that the pressure-sensitive adhesive is coated with a slot die type coater head. It is desirable that the pressure-sensitive adhesive is an emulsion acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive that satisfies the requirements that the value resulting by the division of the stress at a shear rate of 4×104/sec by that at 104/sec as measured with, desirably, a Hercules high-shear viscometer is 1.5-2.7 and/or satisfies the requirement that the average value of the apparent viscosity at a shear rate of 4×104/sec and that at 104/sec as measured by the same viscometer is 50-400 mPa.s. This sheet is produced by coating either of the support and the release sheet with the pressure-sensitive adhesive and laminating them.
