PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of indentation by scale by arranging a plurality of nozzles for jetting air at a prescribed inclined angle toward a material to be straightened between adjacent upper straightening rolls and attaching the upper end of each nozzle to a pressurized air feeding header which is extended along the upper straightening roll. SOLUTION: The pressurized air feeding header 9 is provided on the upper side between the upper straightening rolls nd a plurality of nozzles 8 are provided by extending in a row along the length direction of the upper straightening rolls 2, 3 from the pressurized air feeding header so as to be held between the rolls. The nozzle are arranged so with a gradient so that the tip of each nozzle 8 is faced to the outside (the opposite side of a driving motor 6) of the upper straightening 2, 3. It is preferable that each nozzle 8 is extended in parallel to each other and the inclination angleαof the nozzle is set at 30-45 deg. to the sheet surface of the material 1 to be straightened. As for the location of each nozzle 8, the arranging pitch of the nozzles between the middle in the length direction of the straightening rolls 2, 3 and the driving side is made smaller and arranged so as to become denser.
