PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate requirement of extension of a new electrical facility by arranging a rotating brush on the lower side of a return-side belt of a belt conveyer, and rotating this rotating brush with an operating device comprising a transmission for transferring the rotation of a roller that rotates accompanying the movement of the belt conveyer. SOLUTION: A cleaner comprising a rotating brush 4 where many brushes 3 having flexibility are projected on the peripheral surface of a rotor 2 is disposed on the lower side of a return-side belt of a belt conveyer 1 for conveying powder and granular material. The rotor 2 is constructed so that it is connected to a roller 5 pressed onto the return belt side to roll through a chain transmitting mechanism 6, the rotation of the roller 5 rotating accompanying the movement of the belt conveyer 1 is transmitted to the rotor 2, and the rotating brush 4 is rotated reversely to the movement direction of the return-side belt. Thus, even when the powder and granular material is scraped with the brushes 3 and the belt conveyer 1 is made to operate for a long time, a scraping effect of the powder and granular material adhered to the return-side belt can be kept.
