PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical photocatalytic reactor having high energy efficiency. SOLUTION: A photocatalytic reactor is composed of a photocatalytic reaction tank 11 to which raw water is supplied, a fiber cable 13 for supplying optical fiber wires 14 which are introduced into the tank 11 and oxidize/ decompose organic substances contained in raw water by a photocatalytic reaction, and an optical fiber wire protecting member 12 placed in the tank 11. At least two through holes 17 are formed in the member 12, and one or more wires 14 are inserted into the hole 17 so that all the wires 14 supplied into the tank 11 are protected from the impact of fluid moving in the tank 11.
