PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle rear part structure excellent in space efficiency and capable of easily obtaining desired strength by simple structure. SOLUTION: This structure is the vehicle rear part structure in which rear pillar outer and inner members 25, 26 of substantial hat-shapes in cross section are joined by front and rear flange parts, a wheel house 29 is provided at a lower edge of a rear pillar 24 and a rear pillar reinforcing member 28 of a substantial hat-shape in cross section swelling to the outside is provided. In the rear pillar reinforcing member 28, a brace member 34 having a lower part 36 which is formed integrally with an upper part 35 extended upward within the rear pillar 24, is swelled in the car outside direction and presents a substantial U-shape is overlapped in an external direction within a car body. A joining part 36d in which front and rear wall parts 36b, 36c of the lower part 36 are joined to front and rear walls 28b, 28c is extended downward so as to stride over upper and lower sides of a joining portion 31e joining an upper end 31d of wheel house outer and inner members 30, 31.
