PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biaxial quake-absorbing rubber tester capable of keeping compression load in the vertical direction constant even if the repeating speed is increased without enhancing the response and capacity of a servo valve for driving a cylinder for vertical load. SOLUTION: Pressure oil is supplied to a cylinder 6 for vertical load from an accumulator 12 without going by way of a servo valve 10 even if the piston of the cylinder 6 for vertical load is displaced so as to follow the deformation of a quake-absorbing rubber W by repeating load in the horizontal direction by making the accumulator 12 selectively connectable to the compression side part 6a of the cylinder 6 for vertical load, which applies constant compression load to the rubber W in a vertical direction, through a solenoid valve 11 to suppress the fluctuation of compression load in the vertical direction.
