PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor not only the excessive output of a power supply but also abnormal drop of its output level, in a fail-safe manner. SOLUTION: At starting of an output, a DC output Vo is generated by the start signal of a start circuit 20 and monitored by a monitoring circuit 10. When the output Vo is within the range between upper and lower limit theresholds and normal, the monitoring circuit 10 generates a high level normalcy-confirming signal Sc. A switching element Tsw is turned on and off by pulse-width modulated control signals Ss from a switching control circuit 6, to continue the supply of the output Vo. |
