PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for the operation of a reader and a time required for a processing time of image data by specifying a range of an original where an image to be printed out on print paper is in existence so as to control print of a copy result in which a binding margin can be selected with fidelity to the original on the basis of the image data outputted from the reader. SOLUTION: When an original is moved by a length denoted by a binding margin width in a direction in parallel with a prescribed side forming a prescribed corner on print paper, the range of the original in existence in a printable area of the print paper is specified. The reader is controlled to output image data of an image within a prescribed range of the original to generate print data by which a copy of the image within the specified range can be formed at specified positions through the use of the outputted image data. The print data generated in this way are fed to a printer, by which a copy result with a binding margin set with fidelity to the original can be obtained. |
