PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make suitable parallel processing or transaction processing by specifying the item value of an array by applying prescribed offset to a subscript corresponding to a subscript conversion array. SOLUTION: First of all, a storage position number showing the position of the subscript is initialized (S1101) and next, while referring to the elements of start and end arrays, which of ranges determined by the values of start position and end position arrays includes the subscript is specified (S1102). Next, on the basis of that range, the correspondent offset value is extracted (S1103) and a value adding the offset value to the subscript is provided (S1104). Since this value with the added offset becomes a converted subscript, an element in a substance array is specified (S1105) by utilizing this value. Next, concerning the required subscript, '1' is added to the storage position number and by repeating similar processing (S1106 and S1107), the element in the substance array can be provided while maintaining a logical relation.
