The jump barrier support device has a fixing part (4) attached to an apertured rail (1) via a fixing element cooperating with one of the rail openings and a mounting part (5) provided with a support surface (35) for the jump barrier, attached to the fixing part via a single retention pin (18) which is released when a given force is exerted on the junp barrier.The fixing part is provided by a moulded spring plastics component (6) provided with a central opening for the retention pin, which widens out at either end for release of the retention pin head (17) upon deflection resuting from the applied force.
