Method for making backlit lightguide for liquid crystal display using the properties of thermoplastic properties of plastic light guide plate for LCD backlight system is included. The plastic light guide plate, which is commonly made of PMMA, can be easily softened or melted by contacting other heated material which has certain pattern for light difusing. The total system comprises press machine with patterned metal or ceramic plate which can be heated over than melting point of plastic, and plastic plate for patterning for light guide. By contacting the pattern of heat elevated metal or ceramic plate with the surface of light guide plastic plate with certain gap between two plates for which the plain surface of the two plates will not contact, only the pattern of metal or ceramic plate will be transferred to the plastic plate to make diffusive surface of light plate for LCD backlit system. |
