The invented binding agents that are hardenable under elevated temperatures and that are acceptable for cellulose-containing materials, such as wood, and that are suitable for manufacture of wooden materials such as particleboards, consists of tannins of polyflavonoid type and slightly acid reacting compounds. The present invention relates to the use of those binding agents as well as process for preparing of above indicated materials by mixing the corresponding components and by their treatment in a mold and at a temperature ranging from 150 to 210 degC and pressure in the range of 0.1 to 4 MPa/square millimeter.
