<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To squash a bottle flat in the horizontal direction to reduce the volume thereof, and to facilitate the recovery and carriage of a large mass thereof during the recycling operation by arranging a sinusoidal parting line on a bottom part of the bottle across a folding stripe, and alternately demarcating thick-walled portions and thin-walled portions on the bottom part. SOLUTION: A folding straipe 2 leading from a body part to a bottom surface 3 is formed on parts opposite to each other on a circumferential surface. A sinusoidal parting line 4 is arranged on the bottom surface 3 across the folding stripe 2. In the bottom part to be demarcated by the parting line 4 and the folding stripe 2, a thick-walled part A and a thin-walled part B are alternately formed on a part closer to a ridge or a valley of the parting line 4, and a part farther therefrom, respectively. The thick-walled parts A are closer to the parting line 4 even when they are thick in wall, and transmit the force without any loss, and thus when the pressure 5 is applied from the thick-walled parts A to the thinwalled parts B, the PET bottle 1 can be easily squashed flat.</p> |
