PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous polymer dispersion which can form coating films not deteriorating their glosses and finish appearances, can impart a structural viscosity to a coating, and can also be applied to ordinary temperature- curable coatings. SOLUTION: This non-aqueous polymer dispersion is obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable unsaturated monomer in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer mixture in an organic liquid which dissolves the polymerizable unsaturated monomer and does substantially not dissolve the polymer formed from the polymerizable unsaturated monomer. The dispersion stabilizer mixture comprises (A) 5 to 95 wt.% of a dispersion stabilizer which contains the molecular chain of cellulose acetate butyrale and has about 1.5 polymerizable unsaturated double bonds or less per molecule on the average and (B) 5 to 95 wt.% of a dispersion stabilizer which is an ethylenic unsaturated monomer copolymer, has a solubility parameter (SP value) of 7.5 to 9.3, and has about 1.5 polymerizable unsaturated double bonds or less per molecule on the average.
