PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase strength of an end of a belt, to prevent meandering in a simple method, and to improve durability, by reinforcing at least one end in the belt width direction with a reinforcing band made of aromatic polyamide fiber. SOLUTION: A reinforcing band is set on the outermost layer of a film-made belt base material at at least one end in the width direction of the film-made belt base material. In particular, when aromatic polyamide fiber is formed as a seamless and endless cloth and impregnate with resin to provide the reinforcing band, handling of adhesion with the film-made belt base material is facilitated and high mechanical characteristic of the aromatic polyamide fiber can be effectively used. For attaching the reinforcing band to the film-made belt base material, an adhesive is applied and adhered to one surface of the reinforcing band, the reinforcing band and the film-made belt base material are set, the resin previously impregnated into the reinforcing band is heated, fused, pressurized, and adhered. The width of the reinforcing band is generally designed in a range of 1-10% of the belt width.
