PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce contamination of a rod heater by placing the drain board of a drain board net directly above a rod heater thereby reducing meat juice dripping onto the rod heater. SOLUTION: Planar heaters 3, 4 are provided at the upper and lower parts of a heating chamber 1 and a rotary driving rod heater 5 is placed in the center of the heating chamber 1. A pan 9 for receiving meat juice dripping from a matter 2 to be heated is provided below the rod heater 5. Between the planar heater 3 and the rod heater 5, a drain board net 6 for placing the matter 2 to be heated is positioned directly above the rod heater 5 in parallel therewith. Since the matter 2 to be heated placed on the drain board net 6 sinks gravitationally between the pitches of the drain board, meat juice drips just at the middle point between the pitches of the drain board and it does not drip onto the heater 5 located directly under the drain board. The matter 2 to be heated drops when the pitch of the drain board is too wide and self sinking effect can not be attained when it is too narrow.
