PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous extruder which can prolong wheel life without imparing a cooling effect. SOLUTION: When a metallic material is extruded and molded, the groove 2a of a wheel 2 becomes hot due to friction and temperature difference occurs between the groove 2 and the neighborhood of a cooling passage 8a, thus causing thermal strain. By providing the cooling passage 8a on the side of the rotating wheel 2, the thermal strain caused inside the rotating shaft 2 is decreased, thus making it possible to prevent the strength decrease of the rotating wheel 2 in comparison with the through hole provided as the cooling passage.
