摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a use efficiency for light and make an apparatus compact while simplifying a manufacture process. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a semiconductor laser 3, a collimate lens 8 and an objective lens 9 for collecting an emitted luminous flux B to a magneto-optic recording medium 10, a photodetector 4 for detecting a reflected luminous flux R (R1, R2), and an optical element 5 comprised of a first member 1 of an isotropic optical medium and a second member 2 of an anisotropic optical medium. The first member 1 and second member 2 form and contact at a boundary face 5a which is inclined to an optical axis 14 of the reflected luminous flux R. The emitted luminous flux B is reflected by the boundary face 5a of the optical element 5 and guided to the collimate lens 8, while the reflected luminous flux R reaches the photodetector 4 passing through the boundary face 5a of the optical element 5.
