PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a goggle type display device which prevents misalignment between a display element and optical element by shaping a substrate by an etching method or the like to form a groove (cell structure part) to hold a liquid crystal on the surface of the substrate. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel is equipped with a thin film transistor(TFT) substrate 101, counter substrate 102, sealing material 103, FPC amounting part 104 and liquid crystal injection port 105. TFTs to drive the liquid crystal are formed on the TFT substrate 101. In this liquid crystal panel, a cell structure part is formed by etching the surface of the counter substrate 102 facing the TFT substrate 101, and the counter substrate 102 and the TFT substrate 101 are laminated to form a cell 106 by the cell structure part of the counter substrate 102 and the TFT substrate 101. Therefore, the cell 106 is formed by the TFT substrate 101 and the counter substrate 102, and the liquid crystal 107 is supplied to fill the cell. The liquid crystal is injected through the liquid crystal injection port 105, and the liquid crystal injection port 105 is sealed with the sealing material.
