PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an elevator from elevating or lowering when a magazine, etc., is located between the elevator and a receiving conveyor for receiving/ transferring the magazine from the elevator by detecting the presence/absence of the magazine between the receiving conveyor and the elevator. SOLUTION: A receiving conveyor 10, on which a magazine 2 is to be placed is installed to an elevator 6 at a position where an elevator chamber 9, is lowered. A light-emitting element 11 and a light-receiving element 12 are attached to the wall of the elevator 6, which is on the side through which the magazine 2 enters or exits. While the element 11 emits a light beam onto the element 12, the light beam is shielded by the magazine 2, etc., so as to prevent the element 12 from receiving the light beam, whereby due to the magazine 2, etc., being received/transferred is detected. The elements 11 and 12 constitute magazine detecting means, and determination as to whether the magazine 2 is present is made by a CPU connected to these elements 11 and 12. |
