摘要 A discharge lamp arc tube comprises an electrode structure fully sealed in an oxidation protective gas atmosphere by pinch-sealing so that a molybdenum electrode lead wire retains a high tensile strength. A discharge lamp arc tube comprises first and second electrode structures, each consisting of a series connection of an electrode, a molybdenum foil and a molybdenum lead wire, and being sealed and fixed such that a section including the foil is fastened to primary and secondary pinch-seal sections at both sides of a phosphor-filled sealed central chamber section. The electrodes are positioned opposite one another in the chamber section and the lead wires extend from the respective pinch-seal sections. An electrode structure insertion region of the glass tube of the arc tube is sealed by pinch-sealing in the primary pinch-seal section to enclose the entire inserted first electrode structure in an anti-oxidation gas atmosphere so that the lead wire has a tensile strength of /-10000 kg/cm<2>. An Independent claim is also included for production of the above discharge lamp arc tube.
