A heterogeneous catalyst composition suitable for olefinic polymerization and to methods of forming polyolefinic products using said composition. The catalyst composition comprises an anionic metalloid silane modified inorganic oxide and the cationic remnant of a transition metal bidentate or tridentate compound represented by the formula:wherein each of the symbols above is defined within the subject application.
