<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of a bulking phenomenon caused by Hyphomycetes in the treatment of org. wastewater. SOLUTION: Org. wastewater is decomposed by biological treatment in an aeration tank 1 and this dicomposed org. wastewater is separated into supernatant water and sludge in a sedimentation tank 2. A part of the separated sludge is drawn out to an oxidation tank 3 and an oxidizing agent is added to the drawn-out sludge to convert the sludge to microbially decomposable oxidized sludge. Another part of the sludge separated in the sedimentation tank 2 is branched to a re-aeration tank 4 and the branched sludge is re-aerated. The re-aerated sludge is mixed with oxidized sludge in an oxidized sludge treatment tank 5 to be decomposed and the decomposed sludge is returned to the aeration tank 1.</p> |
