PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an empty can sorting and disposing device which is simple in structure and can be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: A motor-driven horizontal rotary roller 6 is arranged below a opening 3, a magnet sheet is wound around its circumferential surface, and an impeller 14 is provided thereon. A steel can F dropped from the opening 3 is attracted to the magnet sheet, while an aluminum can A is hooked by the impeller 14 to the position from which it is dropped by its own weight, and then, dropped by its own weight. The steel can F attracted to the circumferential surface of the roller 6 is scraped and dropped by a scraping member 12 while the roller 6 is rotated. A pressing plate 15 is operated to the dropping position of an empty can below the roller 6 by a link mechanism driven by a motor M to hold and squeeze the can together with an inner surface 1b of a body side wall. The link mechanism is formed by connecting a prime moving shaft 16 to a universal joint 18 fixed to a disk 17 of a motor shaft, pivotably supporting a horizontal shaft 20 by an upper end of the prime moving shaft, connecting an oscillation link 25 to a transverse plate 24 fixed to the horizontal shaft 20, and further connecting a pressure link 26 thereto.
