The invention relates to a wiper blade for cleaning vehicle windscreens comprising a wiper strip (12) supported by a carrier bracket system (10). Said wiper is surrounded by a protective profile (14, 58), a wiper element (16, 18, 20, 22) being fastened on the side facing the windshield. According to the invention, the protective profile is made of an elastic material (14, 58) and substantially adapts to the curvatures of the windscreen by elastic deformation.
