This invention relates to a generative manufacturing process and an accompanying device with which building material components can be produced from a combination of materials. The device has a bottom surface (1) with a building platform which in addition can be lowered(2); a leveling mechanism (5) which is used to level a first material (4) on a processing plane located above the building platform; a laser light source which emits a laser beam (11) via a platform (2); a processng unit (6) consisting of a focussing optical system (8) which focusses the laser beam (11) onto the work surface (3); and a positioning mechanism which can position the processing unit (6) in a plane which is parallel to the processing plane (3) above the building component (24). The device also has a suction unit (10) for removing material from the processing plane (3) as well as an introduction mechanism (9) for introducing a second material (12), bringing the latter into the range of focus of the laser beam (11).
