<p>A dispersion shift optical fiber comprising a central core part which has a high refractive index, a step core part which is provided around the central core part and has a refractive index lower than that of the central core part, and a clad which is provided around the step core part and has a refractive index lower than that of the step core part and having such a refractive index distribution shape, where under the condition that the mode is substantially a single mode and the bending loss is kept below 100 dB/m, expansion of Aeff and reduction of dispersion slope can be both achieved by appropriately setting the structure parameter.</p> |
