PROTECTING LAMINATE FOR AUTOMOTIVE CARPETING

A thermoplastic laminate comprising i) a first outer layer comprising an ethylene homo- or co-polymer; ii) a core layer comprising a polyamide; iii) a second outer layer comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane. The thermoplasti c laminate is used as an intermediate protective laminate in the manufacture o f a polyurethane padded carpet wherein a polyurethane foam layer is formed on the surface of the protective laminate in its turn hot bonded to an upper fibrous layer.
