PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveform acquisition method that can acquire a waveform without expanding the operation range of an input amplifier, and without clipping an input signal where a large offset voltage is superimposed. SOLUTION: In the waveform acquisition method, a pair of voltage adders are provided in a power supply path at the positive and negative sides of an input amplifier A1, a shift voltage with the same polarity is applied to the pair of voltage adders for shifting the range of the operating voltage of the input amplifier A1 in a positive or negative direction, and the center of the amplitude of an input signal being superimposed to the offset voltage is set to nearly the center of the operation range of the input amplifier A1, thus avoiding clipping operation without expanding the operation range of the input amplifier A1 even when a large offset voltage is superimposed.
