摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cylinder positively put in action even at long operating time intervals and to improve the reliability of an expelling device using the cylinder. SOLUTION: When a command is sent out from an expelling device, a valve of a piping part of a compressed air tank is opened, and compressed air flows into an intake-exhaust port 6. The compressed air is blocked in its way by a tapered face 11 of a recessed cutout part 10, and its kinetic energy is transmitted as impact force to a piston 8. The flow of compressed air into the cutout part 10 continues, and initial flow into the cutout part 10 is sprung back by the tapered face 11 and compressed by the following inflow air. Pressure generated by this compression is added to the impact force to allow compressed air to move instantaneously in a moving direction. In a conventional product, compressed air discharged from the intake-exhaust port is diffused in the outer peripheral direction of a piston, but in this case, the whole compressed air is introduced into the cutout part 10 to heighten the utilization efficiency of compressed air. In addition, since the center axis of the cutout part 10 coincides with the center axis of the piston 8, acting force is generated only in the moving direction of the piston 8 to allow the smooth movement of the piston 8.
