<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more shorten the stroke of an operating member even if an idle stroke exists in a brake system. SOLUTION: A brake system 1 includes a brake pedal 2, a booster device 3 for boosting the pedal leg-power to designated magnitude and outputting the same, a stroke enlarging mechanism 4 for enlarging the stroke of an output shaft of the booster device 3 and outputting the same, master cylinders 5 (5a to 5b) operated by the output force of the stroke enlarging mechanism 4 to generate the master cylinder pressure, and a wheel cylinder where the master cylinder pressure of the master cylinder 5 is introduced to generate braking force. At the initial stage of operation, the stroke of the brake pedal 2 is enlarged by the stroke enlarging mechanism 4 and transmitted to the master cylinder 5, so that the idle stroke of the brake pedal 2 due to idle stroke in the brake system can be effectively shortened.</p> |
