PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base for a desk and a table or the like, of which the regeneration is easy by integrally arranging a thermoplastic sheet on the rear surface of a decorative sheet to obtain a decorative plate which can be easily separated from the surface of a base plate made of a metal or wood or the like, and at the same time, using the decorative plate for the base. SOLUTION: This decorative plate 1 which is used by affixing on the surface 41 of a base plate 4 made of a metal or the like is formed by integrally arranging a thermoplastic sheet 3 on the rear side surface 22 of a decorative sheet 2. In this case, a resin decorative plate such as a melamine decorative plate is used for the decorative sheet 2, and also, polyethylene terephthalate is used for the thermoplastic sheet 3. Then, the decorative plate 1 is used by affixing on the top plate of, e.g. a steel desk as the base 4. In the meantime, when the old stained or scratched decorative plate 1 is replaced, the surface of the decorative plate 1 is heated by ironing. Then, after softening the thermoplastic sheet 3 in this manner, the decorative sheet 2 is peeled from the thermoplastic sheet 3. Then, a new decorative plate 1 is affixed on the base plate 4 for the replacement.
