PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pumping device which can operate for some time even if a power supply is interrupted. SOLUTION: A pumping unit 1 has a pump 12 and a pump control circuit 13. While a wind power generation unit 2, a solar cell unit 3, an ordinary power supply unit 4 and a power supply line 5 are all in normal states, an electric double-layer capacitor 6 connected in parallel to the pump control circuit 13 is charged by DC currents supplied from the wind power generation unit 2, the solar cell unit 3 and the ordinary power supply unit 4. If, for instance, a power station stops the power supply in order to avoid a lightning strike and the DC current cannot be supplied from the ordinary power supply unit 4 to the pump control 13, the pump control circuit 13 is driven by a power stored in the electric double-layer capacitor 6. |
