PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which inclination changes are prevented to the utmost even when external force such as vibration, etc., is exerted on a member to be controlled and which is miniaturized. SOLUTION: A displacement holding part 2, a displacement pin 10 and a displacement part 12 are arranged in a case 1, and the tip part of the pin 10 is projected forward from the case 1 and held on the back surface part of a mirror 18 so that it can be rocked. The holding part 2 is composed of a hermetically sealed container 4 in which electroviscous fluid is enclosed and which has insulating properties and elasticity, and a pair of electrodes 5 and 6 attached to the front part and the rear part of the container. A displacement part 12 is composed of an annular permanent magnet 13 and an electromagnetic coil 14 constituted by winding a copper wire annularly. By applying voltage to the coil 14, the electroviscous fluid is deformed together with the container 4, the pin 10 is displaced so that its projection amount from the case is changed, and the inclination of the mirror 18 is adjusted. By applying voltage between the electrodes, the pin 10 is held at a displacement position.
