PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely prevent distance stripe, and to prevent foreign matters accumulated on a cleaning member from falling down below an electrifying member. SOLUTION: Relating to this image forming device, the cleaning member 10 performs contact/noncontact operation with the electrifying member 9 in its shaft direction and the inclining radial direction. Thereupon, when the cleaning member 10 is away from the electrifying member 9, the cleaning member 10 becomes in such a state in which the toner which remains in the nip part where the cleaning member 10 is in contact with the electrifying member 9 and forms distance stripe is swept by a bloom. In such a manner, when the member 9 comes in contact with the photoreceptor, almost of the toner being stuck on the electrifying member 9 is returned to the photoreceptor, the occurrence of the distance stripe is prevented, and the toner is prevented from follaing down below the electrifying device 9 or falling down in the image forming device, therefore the image forming device of the stable quality can be obtained.
