The invention relates to a hollow plastic section, comprising embedded reinforcing elements. Said hollow plastic section is preferably configured a s a frame section for windows or doors. According to the invention, the sectio n has several inner chambers which are delimited by separating walls (7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) that extend in the longitudinal direction of the section . Strip-shaped stiffening elements (4, 5, 11, 12, 25) that are not interconnected are used as reinforcing elements. The reinforcing elements ca n consist of either a metal or embedded bands or strips consisting of fiber- reinforced plastic. Several inner chambers with a small cross-section that a re delimited by separating walls (7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) extending in the longitudinal direction of the section are provided.
