The invention relates to an improvement in/or relating to a pillow (1) especially for small children, said pillow includes a cover or an outer layer having a lot of air openings (4), said openings communicate with at least one cavity (5) within said pillow (1), which in turn is ventilated out to one or some of the edge sections of the pillow. The cover consists of a piece of material (2) in form of a sheet, which constitutes an oval tube formation (3) over the spacers (6, 6', 6'') of the pillow (1), said spacers acting as a core, and said piece of material (2) in its folded formation is provided with at least on the upper side of the pillow (1) a lot of small, pierced air openings (4) which are orientated in parallel rows (18) straight across or along the pillow (1) and said piece of material (2) is provided with elongated grooves (20) extending in the cavity (5) within the pillow (1) on the underside of the piece of material between the rows of the mouth (19) of the air openings (4), said grooves constitute continuously or discontinuously extending projections or rills (21), so that air can flow into and out through the air openings and so that the person lying against the pillow can breath even if said person is lying with mouth and nose turned against the pillow (1).
