PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the total body of a long belt-like washing machine compact, to secure sufficient working space around the washing tub and to facilitate the cleaning and maintenance work of the soaking tub. SOLUTION: This washing machine has a soaking tub 3 for soaking a long belt-like body in a washing liquid for a prescribed period of time, a washing tub 1 in which a washing device for washing the long belt-like body after soaking is stored, and a carrier device 4 for carrying the long belt-like body passing the washing device 10 in the washing tub 1 to the next process. A soaking tub storage room R is formed between the washing tub 1 and a washing machine setting surface F below. The soaking tub 3 is located inside the storage room R and the soaking tub 3 is movable so that the soaking tub 3 can be drawn out of the storage room R.
