PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink ribbon, for an article whose genuineness is to be interpreted, which shows sufficient printing characteristics and makes forgery difficult and genuineness interpretation easy. SOLUTION: An ink layer with a specified pattern of pinholes is formed by applying an ink coating liquid with 10-18" viscosity by a Zern cup measuring method using a gravure coating process with a gravure printing plate having 170-220 mesh and a groove depth of 45-70 in such a manner that the coating build-up is 1.0-1.8 g/m2.
